Essential: The Stanley Nesting Shot Glass Set
I know, I know, Stanley is all trendy now. But these shot glasses go back way before the "Stanley Quencher" became the rage.
If you're an active and outdoors person, and you enjoy the occasional spirited libations with friends, the Stanley Nesting Shot Glass set is an essential to pack along for the party-on-the-go.
For the Uninitiated:
For OVER 100 YEARS, Stanley has been making high quality, durable, functional drinkware. In 1913, the founder created the all-steel vacuum flask (ironically unintentionally - he actually discovered how to make it when working with transformers). They quickly expanded into other insulated jugs and beverage carriers/servers. (the whole history is interesting and worth a read…)
Since then, Stanley has been well-known for its rugged, outdoor-oriented products, and this shot glass set is no exception. The classic "Hammertone Green" finish is a throwback to some of their original designs, but also just fits the outdoorsy aesthetic perfectly. The set comes with 4 stainless steel shot glasses that nest perfectly inside of the metal case.
So, why is it the best?
1. Tough as Hell
One of the most important aspects of the Stanley Nesting Shot Glass set is how tough they are. When you are out and about, the last thing you want to worry about is broken glass (both because of the mess, how it can cause injuries, and…you're down a shot glass).
These are made of stainless steel and, no matter how many times they are clinked together (or dropped off a table for that matter), they hold perfect form.
2. Super Packable
The whole case for the Stanley Nesting Shot Glass set is only a few inches tall and, since it is so tough, you can toss this thing anywhere and it'll be fine. I've thrown them in my bag along with a flask of good whiskey to sip on at night while on multi-day backpacking trips with buddies.
The air tight canister keeps dirt and dust out, so you really do not have to worry about these things being ready to go whenever you need.
3. Easy to Clean
One common theme with my "essentials" is ease. You don't need more things to do or to worry about.
The Stanley Nesting Shot Glasses are naturally BPA-free, rust-resistant, and dishwasher safe. While I've rinsed mine out in lakes, rivers, and streams (I'm sure the fish don't mind a drop of Lagavulin), I love that I can just toss them in the dishwasher once home from the adventure.
4. Cheers for Life
The Stanley Nesting Shot Glasses have a lifetime warranty. Any company that stands behind their product with a warranty like that typically is making something that people are going to love, and they know it.
I have no idea what you could do to these steel cups that would necessitate a replacement, but there is sure comfort in knowing you could do so for free if needed.
5. A Little Help for your Friends
The Stanley Nesting Shot Glasses also come with four 2 oz. shot glasses, so you can easily pour and share some of your goods with your friends. Along those lines, it also makes a great gift for your outdoor friends.
At home, my toddler also likes to use them as his water or juice cup (or even to build small sand castles at the beach). Again, I love that I don't have to worry about them breaking.
